Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in signing Ajax midfielder Viktor Fischer, according to the Manchester Evening News.
17-year-old Dane joined the Dutch giants from FC Midtjylland in April.
Fischer has spent the last nine months developing in the world-renowned Ajax academy, which has produced the likes of Patrick Kluivert, Edgar Davids and Clarence Seedorf.
Ferguson recently revealed that he is keen to rebuild his own youth set-up, as he feels it has been failing in recent years.
The Red Devils have also been linked with Fischer's club teammate and Danish compatriot Christian Eriksen.
