Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on the development of Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba.
The 22-year-old joined Leverkusen from Vitoria Guimaraes in January 2020 and has made 51 appearances for the German side in all competitions, including 29 outings during the 2020-21 campaign.
According to The Express, the 20-time English champions have been scouting the defender after being alerted to his progress by 'a well-respected figure in Germany'.
The report claims that Man United received the tip-off last year and have since been following Tapsoba closely, while Liverpool are said to have explored the possibility of a January deal.
A number of other Premier League clubs are also believed to be interested in the centre-back, with Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers mentioned as possible suitors.
Tapsoba has played in all but two of Leverkusen's 23 Bundesliga matches this season.
