Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham and Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong are reportedly still transfer targets for Manchester United ahead of the summer market.
The Red Devils are expected to prioritise the signing of a new centre-forward during this summer's transfer window, with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane seen as the club's leading target.
However, the 20-time English champions are also believed to be keen to bring in another central midfielder despite spending big on Casemiro last year.
Man United spent much of last summer's window chasing Barcelona's De Jong before ultimately being made to admit defeat in their pursuit of the Netherlands international.
However, according to ESPN, the 25-year-old remains a target for the Red Devils, with the club's head coach Erik ten Hag viewing him as the perfect addition this summer.
De Jong has insisted on a number of occasions that he wants to stay at Barcelona, and he has been a vital player for the Catalan side this season, making 34 appearances in all competitions.
The Dutchman also still has another three years left to run on his deal at Camp Nou, but Xavi's side could be forced into some major sales this summer due to their financial problems.
As a result, Man United are allegedly preparing to reignite their interest in the former Ajax youngster.
Bellingham, meanwhile, is also said to be on the club's shortlist despite suggestions that Manchester City and Real Madrid are in pole position to sign the Englishman.
Liverpool, at one stage, were seen as the heavy favourites to sign Bellingham, but the Reds have now allegedly dropped their interest due to the cost of the deal.
The 19-year-old has again been a vital player for Dortmund this season, scoring 10 goals and registering seven assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
Bellingham has another two years left to run on his deal with BVB but is widely expected to be on the move this summer in a deal that could reach £120m.
Man United were heavily linked with the England international when he left Birmingham City in 2020, but Dortmund ultimately won the race to sign the youngster.
Bellingham has allegedly not ruled out staying with his current side, potentially for another season, while it remains to be seen whether interested clubs are prepared to pay the vast sum that BVB are demanding.
Man United's plans for the summer window are currently on hold due to the uncertainty surrounding the ownership of the club, which could cost them some of their top targets. body check tags ::
