Newcastle United have reportedly joined the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbia international has failed to make the desired impact since swapping Fiorentina for the Bianconeri last January, and a swift exit could be on the cards this summer.
Vlahovic is under contract at Juve until 2026, but the Old Lady's recent points deduction for financial irregularities has led to the expectation that several of their top talents will be on their way out.
Both Man United and Chelsea are rumoured to have been alerted to the 23-year-old's availability, while Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also in the picture.
Now, Fichajes claims that Newcastle have also shown an interest in bringing Vlahovic to the Premier League, which is the striker's most likely destination for his next career adventure.
Having now gone eight games without a goal in Serie A, Juve have opened the door for Vlahovic to depart this summer, and the strongest interest is currently arriving from England.
Despite the striker's recent struggles in front of goal, he is understood to be held in good standing by Premier League clubs, whose offers will be listened to this summer.
Arsenal fought tooth and nail to bring Vlahovic to the Emirates in January 2022, but the ex-Fiorentina man snubbed interest from the Gunners to remain in Italy with Juventus.
Vlahovic has since recorded 20 goals and six assists in 52 matches for Massimiliano Allegri's team, including 11 goals and four assists from 31 games in all tournaments this term.
The Serbia international has just eight goals from 20 Serie A outings in the current campaign, though, 13 behind top scorer Victor Osimhen of Napoli.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has faced the best kind of selection dilemma in attack this season, with Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson engaging in a fierce battle for starts.
Isak - who arrived from Real Sociedad last summer in a record-breaking £63m deal - spent three months out with a serious hamstring injury between October and January, and he has featured from the off in just eight Premier League games this season.
The Sweden international has still accumulated an impressive eight goals from 13 games in his debut Premier League season, including five from his last five during a purple patch.
Meanwhile, Wilson has started 16 of the Magpies' Premier League matches in 2022-23 - scoring 10 goals in the process - but the 31-year-old is out of contract in 2024.
Newcastle occupy third place in the Premier League table and kick off this weekend's action with a trip to an in-form Aston Villa on Saturday lunchtime.
