Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that he wants defender Jan Vertonghen to be part of his future plans amid rumours that Manchester United are interested in the Belgian.
The 27-year-old has struggled to maintain a regular first-team spot under Pochettino, prompting reports that United are considering an £18m bid for the player.
In today's press conference, when asked about the rumoured United interest, Pochettino said: "I am happy with Jan, for us he's an important player. We're in three competitions, we change the team a lot."
The defender has three-and-a-half years left on his contract.
