Manchester City have reportedly sent director of football Txiki Begiristain to run the rule over Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic.
The Citizens are one of a number of sides to have been credited with an interest in the Serbia international, along with rivals Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Jovic appears to favour staying on at Frankfurt for another year, rather than potentially sitting on the bench at a European superpower, but that has not stopped Man City from ramping up their interest.
The Sun claims that Begiristain was on the guestlist at the Estadio da Luz on Thursday evening to watch the 21-year-old play for Frankfurt against parent club Benfica in the Europa League.
After finding the net in his side's 4-2 loss to Benfica, Jovic now has 26 goals to his name in all competitions this term.
