Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko during the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old is one of the highest-rated young attackers in Europe currently, with over 20 clubs scouting the player during the opening months of the 2024-25 campaign.
Sesko has made a steady start to life in this term's edition of the Bundesliga, scoring twice and providing two assists across seven top-flight contests.
As a collective, RB Leipzig have made an exceptional start to the campaign and sit level on points with Bayern Munich at the summit of the Bundesliga table.
Since making the permanent switch from Austrian outfit RB Salzburg during the summer of 2023, Sesko has made 52 competitive appearances for Leipzig, scoring on 24 occasions.
Man United 'moving' to sign Sesko in New Year
According to Italian outfit Tutto Juve, Manchester United are preparing to enter the market for attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window.
The report claims that the Red Devils are moving to sign RB Leipzig marksman Sesko in the New Year, when Erik ten Hag's troops will be looking to bolster their ranks ahead of the second half of the campaign.
It is understood that Man United are confident in their ability to secure the services of the 21-year-old at some point over the next few months.
However, the Red Devils could be forced to pay a significant amount for the signature of the Slovenia international, who signed a contract extension in Germany over the summer.
With Sesko committed to RB Leipzig until the summer of 2029, the second-placed side in the Bundesliga are in a good position to drive a hard bargain for the player.
Zirkzee on the way out?
The arrival of Sesko at the Theatre of Dreams in the New Year could trigger a major transfer involving a current member of the Man United squad.
It is believed that Joshua Zirkzee could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the January window if the Red Devils can sign RB Leipzig's Sesko.
The Netherlands international has played eight Premier League matches for Ten Hag's side since joining from Bologna in the summer, scoring once.
