Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has said that England can win the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The 35-year-old points out that in 2004 Greece clinched the European Championships despite not being one of the favourites.
"Try telling that to the players in that dressing room, no chance," he told BT Sport. "They will be going there to win it.
"No-one gave Greece a chance of winning the Euros [in 2004] but they did. It is doable but we need some luck and we need to perform on the day."
Ferdinand retired from playing for England in 2011, having featured for the 1966 World Cup winners in 81 matches.
