Middlesbrough defender George Friend believes that his side can take confidence into the Championship playoff final against Norwich City after beating them twice during the season.
The North-East side defeated the Canaries 4-0 at the Riverside Stadium and 1-0 in their clash at Carrow Road.
Friend feels that his side's defensive record over the course of the season and against Alex Neil's men will give him and his teammates belief ahead of the match at Wembley.
Friend told reporters: "I don't think it makes much difference when you pull up to Wembley. We didn't have a preference out of the two teams, but they're a good side.
"We can perhaps take a little bit of confidence and look at what we did to beat them those two times, especially the away game because that was a tight affair. Our defensive record is down to the manager, he reshaped us and worked on everything. It's not just the back four it's everyone.
"From the front everyone works hard and we showed in both legs of the game against Brentford how resolute we were and tactically we were superior. If we can match that at Wembley we'll be okay."
Boro take on Norwich at Wembley on Monday.
