Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has admitted that he was dissatisfied with his side's performance during their 1-0 win at Brentford in the Championship.
The Spaniard said he was pleased with the result, but disappointed that his team did not replicate the quality they showed when they knocked Manchester City out of the FA Cup last weekend.
"We played really well last Saturday against City so today wasn't as good - but three points is the main thing for me," he told reporters.
"I thought after the City game it would be a difficult week, that maybe everyone would be more excited than normal, but the players worked very well and I thought we could play as well as we did against City.
"So it's good for me that we didn't play as well as we can play, but we can still beat teams like Brentford."
Boro took maximum points thanks to a Grant Leadbitter penalty in the first half.
