Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka and Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes have won the Championship's Manager and Player of the Month respectively for their performances in September.
Boro confirmed their pre-season status as one of the promotion favourites with a perfect record, winning four out of four with an goal differential of 10-2.
Three of those matches were comfortable home wins over MK Dons, Brentford and Leeds United, while they also ground out a tough away victory at Nottingham Forest.
"It's amazing for me," said Karanka. "I've been a manager here for two years and we have this award again.
"It's not about me, it's about the staff, the players, the people at the club, and the supporters. Without them all it would be impossible."
Rhodes, meanwhile, was back on top form last month, scoring five goals in four games, after an injury-hit start to the season in August.
"His goals return is phenomenal, but it doesn't come as a surprise, because the amount of work that he does on his finishing out on the training pitch is outstanding," said Rovers boss Gary Bowyer.
"He's reaping the rewards for all the hard work that he does and this has also been recognised with his recall to the Scotland squad."
Rhodes continued his hot streak into October with a match-winning brace against former club Ipswich Town last Saturday.
