A header from Ricardo Fuller has given Blackpool a half-time lead over Millwall at Bloomfield Road in the Championship this evening.
Steve Morison had a couple of early chances for the visitors, but his attempt to chip the ball beyond Matt Gilks bounced back off the bar.
Millwall continued to have the better of the early chances as Martyn Woolford forced a save from the home keeper shortly after David Goodwillie struck the post.
However, the home side were able to edge ahead when Fuller headed in at the near post from a Tony McMahon corner in the 14th minute.
The Lions had a chance to equalise just three minutes later when Morison was brought down in the box, giving the visitors a penalty, but Gilks correctly guessed that the striker's spot kick was heading to the right, and was able to keep the shot out.
The visitors rattled the post again as they continued to seek their first goal of the evening, with Woolford trying a powerful shot from the edge of the box, but they could not get back on level terms before the half-time whistle.
