Millwall manager Ian Holloway expressed his pride after watching his team beat Leeds United 2-0 in their Championship season opener on Saturday.
Goals from Mark Beevers and Shaun Williams gave the home side the points, and the Lions boss was delighted with his side's performance.
He told the club's official website: "The lads are delighted with the win and I'm so proud of them. It was a big day for Millwall and I'm so proud.
"We played well and they played well, but we managed to win. It caps a great pre-season for us. The lads are working their socks off. The atmosphere was electric.
"It was a fantastic day. I'm so proud of the club. We kept going and going."
Holloway's side travel to relegated Fulham next week.
