Ian Holloway is "delighted" that his Millwall players showed spirit and togetherness in the 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.
Giles Coke gave the away side the lead with 69 minutes played, but the Lions grabbed a point when DJ Campbell found the net with a diving header.
The game ended on a sour note for both sides as Coke and Shane Lowry were sent off for an altercation near the corner flag, but Holloway was pleased with what he saw, despite his side's "lack of understanding".
"I saw a lack of understanding which comes from the team structure and team mentality and because they played with a different shape to what they have in the last four or five games," Holloway told Sky Sports News.
"Unfortunately the way things are going we went one down but I was delighted because the spirit we have been talking about came, the togetherness came and we got excited about what we were doing."
Millwall are 21st in the Championship.
