Martyn Woolford's late equaliser has rescued a point for Millwall in their dramatic Championship game against Watford this afternoon and kept their survival hopes alive.
Carlos Edwards fired over from 20 yards for Millwall before Watford's Troy Deeney skewed a half-volley wide of the post.
McGugan then broke the deadlock when he slotted home after being played in by Deeney.
The goal gave Watford confidence and they grew into the game as the half went on.
It was Millwall, however, that spurned a number of chances just before the break, with Owen Garvan and Martyn Woolford in particular guilty of fluffing their lines.
Millwall's Stefan Maierhofer found himself unmarked after the restart following a free kick, but he could only put his header over from six yards out.
They eventually found the equaliser when Steve Morison lashed home at the back post following a corner.
Almen Abdi's deflected shot put Watford in front ten minutes from time but Woolford's last minute drive flew past Watford keeper Manuel Almunia and sent the Millwall fans into raptures.
