Championship side Millwall have completed the signing of free agent Tom Bender.
The 20-year-old had been on trial with the Lions ever since his contract was cancelled by Colchester United in January.
He has now earned a permanent deal, which has tied him to The Den until the summer of 2014.
Last season Bender suffered a serious injury when he was knocked unconscious during his loan stint with Accrington Stanley. He was taken to hospital for a brain scan, but was eventually given the all-clear.
