Napoli captain Marek Hamsik has said his team should have claimed all three points from their meeting with Genoa this afternoon.
The Partenopei created a number of chances to score, but were unable to find a way through as they were held to a goalless draw at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
"The draw feels like a limiting result, as we deserved more than a point and created at least three clear-cut scoring opportunities," the midfielder told Mediaset Premium.
"It's a shame, but it's not easy to do well at Marassi and we did put in a good performance. We tried to win until the end and just couldn't finish our chances. The goal was the only thing we lacked today.
"It doesn't mean anything that we're not top of the table, because we are still in that area. We are unbeaten in 13 games and that is always positive."
Napoli are currently fourth in the Serie A table and trail leaders Fiorentina by just two points.
