Louis van Gaal has declared that he is proud of his start to life as Holland manager after the Dutch made it four wins from four against Romania.
The Netherlands swatted aside a tricky trip to Romania by a resounding 4-1 scoreline on Tuesday, thanks to goals from Jermain Lens, Rafael van der Vaart, Burno Martins Indi and Robin van Persie.
Van Gaal has made a perfect start as Holland coach and admitted that he takes pride in his record to date.
He told reporters following the Romanian rout: "This really is a great achievement.
"We did not start so well, but luck was on our side. Then we got better in the game and we saw it coming.
"Overall I am very happy with the second-half because we killed the game and gave little away."
Holland are clear at the top of Group D and their 100% start makes them heavy favourites to secure a place at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
