New England Revolution booked their place in the semi-final of the MLS Cup by beating nine-man Columbus Crew 3-1 tonight to cap an emphatic 7-3 aggregate victory.
Jay Heaps's side will now face New York Red Bulls in a two-legged Eastern Conference final.
Having won the first leg 4-2 in Ohio last week, Revolution already had one foot in the last four, but Lee Nguyen consolidated the overall lead by grabbing his 20th goal of the season on 43 minutes.
Jose Goncalves then made it 6-2 on aggregate 10 minutes after the break, before the visitors' night went from bad to worse when Ethan Finlay was sent off just after the hour mark.
Gregg Berhalter's side refused to go quietly, however, as Tony Tchani reduced the gap to three once more.
Teal Bunbury was then on hand to bag a seventh goal for Revolution in the tie, before Justin Meram followed Finlay off the field after being issued a second yellow card on 85 minutes.
