Newcastle United winger Hatem Ben Arfa has insisted that he is happy to play in any position for the team.
The Frenchman has been deployed on the flanks for a number of games this season, though manager Alan Pardew has also opted to put him behind the strikers.
Despite struggling to cement a permanent place in the starting XI, Ben Arfa claims that he is willing to be used anywhere.
"I'll play anywhere on the pitch if the gaffer thinks it's best for the team," he told the Shields Gazette. "I'll give 100% anywhere he puts me.
"I'm a professional football player - I have to give everything on the pitch. It is the same for all the players. I'll play anywhere - just not goalkeeper!"
Newcastle return to Premier League action on Saturday when they entertain Norwich City at St James' Park.
