Martin Dubravka has reportedly decided to join Newcastle United permanently at the end of the season should the club survive in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old linked up with the Magpies on a season-long loan from Sparta Prague in January.
Dubravka's deal contains a clause enabling Newcastle officials to complete a permanent transfer at the end of the current campaign, and Rafael Benitez is eager to snap the player up.
According to the Northern Echo, the Slovakia international is also keen to make a permanent switch to St James' Park.
However, the report goes on to claim that Dubravka's future will be dependent on where the Tynesiders finish in the table this season.
Newcastle currently sit four points clear of the bottom three with eight games to go.
