Chelsea's Cole Palmer has won the Premier League's Young Player of the Season award for the 2023-24 season following an incredible breakthrough campaign.
The former Manchester City youth product made his big-money move to Stamford Bridge at the start of this season and has comfortably been one of their best players in the league this term.
In his first season in London, the 22-year-old has scored 22 goals and provided 10 assists, establishing himself as one of Europe's top young talents.
Palmer has been crucial to Chelsea's resurgence in recent weeks, scoring twice in their last three matches and propelling Mauricio Pochettino's side into contention for a place in Europe next season.
Palmer beats off rising stars to earn Premier League accolade
The attacking midfielder, who is second in the Premier League's Golden Boot race to Erling Haaland, beat off competition from some excellent rising stars to win the award, including his former teammate Phil Foden.
Haaland was also among the players in the running for the prestigious award, along with Alexander Isak, Kobbie Mainoo, William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Destiny Udogie.
Palmer raking in the awards
This is not the only award the England international has earned this season, though. He also received the Premier League's Player of the Month award for April after scoring seven goals across four top-flight matches in the month.
In addition, Palmer was also awarded Chelsea's Men's Players' Player of the Season and Player of the Season awards at the club's end-of-season awards night last week.
The Blues currently hold a three-point advantage over Newcastle United in seventh place and are three points behind fifth-placed London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea's final game of the Premier League season will see them play host to Bournemouth, and they need just a single point from the match to secure sixth place in the league standings. body check tags ::
