Rio Ferdinand has hailed the achievements of Ryan Giggs following the Manchester United legend's retirement from playing football.
Giggs confirmed on Monday that he would be hanging up his boots in order to become assistant coach to new United manager Louis van Gaal.
The Welshman, 40, ends his 24-year playing career with 34 major trophies to his name.
Ferdinand recently announced that he would be leaving United this summer after failing to sign a new contract with the former Premier League champions.
