Nice coach Claude Puel has cited his side's ability to play with greater freedom in the second half as a contributing factor towards the club's recent 2-1 victory over Bordeaux.
Visiting Nice were able to grab all three points in the Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Chaban-Delmas, thanks to second-half goals from Jordan Amavi and Alassane Plea.
"Even in the first half we showed some good things. We conceded a goal on a counter which we didn't deal with at all well and the few chances they had we offered to them," Puel said after the game, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
"We rectified certain things at half time and in the second half we played well and the players played with greater freedom. We built on the performance against Lorient and the squad has proved its quality. I hope now that we'll find some consistency.
"We have a lot of assets and quality but we also have the youngest squad in France and we have been up and down this season."
The win now sees Nice occupying 11th spot in the league standings on 28 points from 21 games.
