Former Shamrock Rovers boss Michael O'Neill is believed to have been offered the vacant managerial position at Northern Ireland.
The 42-year-old, who completed his last match in charge of the Irish side in the group stages of the Europa League, is expected to be confirmed as the Northern Ireland boss in the New Year, according to Sky Sports News.
O'Neill has been tipped to succeed Nigel Worthington in recent months, and the Irish Football Association is thought to have completed the interview process on Monday.
Former players Iain Dowie and Jim Magilton were reportedly in the race to clinch the job.
