Northern Ireland captain Steven Davis has claimed that he and his teammates are itching to get on the field against Israel this evening.
The national side were left frustrated when their World Cup qualifier against Russia was postponed twice due to heavy snow.
Despite their disappointment, Davis believes that the team's freshness will be an advantage to them for tonight's clash at Windsor Park.
"We've had a good week's preparation but we are just desperate to play a game," BBC Sport quotes Davis as saying. "I hope we can use the frustration of the past week to our advantage because we will be fresh.
"Given the fact the Russia game was postponed twice we are looking forward to this game even more than normal. Sitting around the hotel has been tough as mentally we have been preparing for a game which never happened."
Northern Ireland are currently fourth in Group F.
