Alex Neil has conceded that his Norwich City side were punished for their mistakes during their FA Cup third-round clash against Manchester City earlier today.
The visiting Citizens ran out 3-0 winners at Carrow Road thanks to goals from Sergio Aguero, Kelechi Iheanacho and Kevin De Bruyne.
Speaking after the final whistle, Neil told BBC Sport: "In the first half, we didn't retain the ball well enough and good teams will punish you.
"We played better in the second half but the damage had already been done."
Norwich have won only one of their last 12 meetings with City.
