Jonny Howson has given Norwich City a first-half lead over Wigan Athletic, scoring his third goal in his four appearances for the club.
Howson gave the visitors the lead after some strong hold-up play from Gary Hooper, which led to the midfielder striking the ball across the goal and into the corner.
The Canaries continued to press, with Gary O'Neil and Cameron Jerome creating a couple of chances in quick succession for Norwich but failing to capitalise on their efforts.
The Latics responded to the Canaries' pressure with some of their own as Marc-Antoine Fortune delivered in an inviting cross, but none of his teammates was close to connecting with it.
The hosts had several chances in a short space of time on the half-hour mark, with Jerome involved again, but each effort failed to bring the score level.
Norwich held on for the last few minutes of the half, as they went into the break a goal up.
