Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion have played out a goalless first half in their League Cup clash at Carrow Road this evening.
Both sides struggled to create chances for much of the first half, and the first opportunity fell to Norwich on 21 minutes as Lewis Grabban found Dieumerci Mbokani, but the Congolese striker sliced his shot wide.
Grabban carved out a good chance for himself moments later, as the former Bournemouth man drove down the left flank before cutting inside to get a shot away, but the effort was easy for debutant Anders Lindegaard to deal with in the Baggies goal.
The hosts continued to dominate the first half, as Gary O'Neil hit the post before Elliot Bennett scuffed his effort from the rebound.
Grabban and Andre Wisdom both tried their luck from distance before half time, but both were unable to break the deadlock.
