Gary Hooper will reportedly make his first start for Norwich City during tomorrow's League Cup tie against Watford.
The striker had been tipped to play a key role for the Canaries following his summer move from Scottish champions Celtic, but an injury picked up in pre-season has limited him to just one appearance as a substitute so far this season.
However, the 25-year-old has now made a complete recovery and will start from the beginning at Vicarage Road, according to the Eastern Daily Press.
Meanwhile, manager Chris Hughton has also hinted that Hooper's fellow centre-forward Ricky van Wolfswinkel could miss the tie because of a toe injury.
"At the moment we have a few knocks and bruises but we are okay generally. Ricky got a knock, a whack on the side of his toe. He is a little bit sore but we don't feel it is anything too serious. If he is not fit for tomorrow, the feeling is it will only be a few days," said Hughton.
Norwich have won the League Cup on two occasions, the last of which was back in 1985.
