Steve Morison expecting difficult season

Steve Morison thinks that Norwich City are in for a tough season.

Norwich City striker Steve Morison is expecting a tough second season in the Premier League.

After winning the Championship in 2010-11, the Canaries impressed on their return to the top flight and finished 12th in the table.

However, the Norfolk outfit have yet to win a game this campaign, having endured a 5-0 home defeat to Fulham on the opening day as well as two draws since, and Morison admits that he thinks the Yellows are in for a tough year.

"It's going to be a lot tougher than last year because we were a bit of an unknown quantity and definitely in the first-half of last season we caught a few teams out," he told talkSPORT.

"This year we had the worst possible start we could have had but we've managed to show our spirit again and turn around two good results (1-1 draws with QPR and Tottenham), and in both games we've been very disappointed not to get three points.

"I want to play as many games as I can. I want to score as many goals as I can, last season I managed to get to 10 and I was very pleased with it and it's something I want to achieve again. You have to believe in yourself, you have to have self confidence. Obviously you need your manager to believe in you as well, your team-mates do and if you can put it all together you're halfway there."

Norwich host West Ham United on September 15 in their next Premier League match.
