Norwich City are reportedly keeping tabs on Gary Rowett, who was sacked by Birmingham City just 24 hours ago.
The surprise dismissal was announced on Wednesday, the day after the team responded to back-to-back defeats with a 2-1 win over Ipswich Town.
Rowett, who spent two years in charge of the Blues, guided the club to eighth in the Championship, one point adrift of the playoff places after winning nine, drawing seven and losing five.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Rowett could return to management swiftly as Norwich are interested in a potential swoop, with the Canaries one point adrift of the Blues under manager Alex Neil.
Norwich started the season strongly, but since the start of October the team have picked up just four wins in 11 league fixtures.
Following a run of six defeats and one victory, Neil gave himself some breathing room by overseeing a 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
