Chris Hughton has described the performance that Grant Holt put in during Norwich City's 4-0 win over West Bromwich Albion yesterday afternoon as "excellent".
The 32-year-old has struggled to replicate the form this year that saw him score 15 Premier League goals last season, but, playing as a lone striker against the Baggies, he scored his seventh goal of the campaign and caused numerous problems to the visiting defenders.
"I thought he was excellent [yesterday] and we needed him to be. We play a system with Wes Hoolahan off the front and it very much works when players are playing very well," Hughton is quoted as saying by the Eastern Daily Press.
"Wes showed his quality and what he can bring to the team but you need that focal point up front and I thought [Holt] was excellent."
Holt has featured in all of Norwich's Premier League matches this season.
