Norwich City and Stoke City have played out a 1-1 draw at Carrow Road this afternoon, thanks to first-half goals from Mame Biram Diouf and Russell Martin.
Neither side were able to assert their dominance in the game's early moments, but it was visitors Stoke who took the lead on 11 minutes - Xherdan Shaqiri with an assist on his Premier League debut as he found Diouf with a free kick from the right of the penalty area.
Norwich came close to equalising through Nathan Redmond, but his effort from distance went wide, before Alexander Tettey also missed the target from distance.
The hosts did find their equaliser on 28 minutes through captain Russell Martin, who was found in space by Redmond before producing a cool finish between Jack Butland's legs.
Norwich almost took the lead after the break through Redmond, whose strike from outside the area went wide, before Wes Hoolahan missed a header from close range.
Shaqiri almost scored his first Premier League goal on 57 minutes, but his curling effort inched past the post.
It was the hosts who finished the game with the bulk of the opportunities, though, as Butland produced a string of saves to Robbie Brady and Cameron Jerome.
Norwich had two late chances to take the three points, but neither Glen Johnson nor Jerome were able to find the net.
