Norwich City have suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Portland Timbers in the final match of their US tour.
The home side came close to taking the lead in the eighth minute when Kalif Alhassan hit the post, but Nathan Redmond was proving a tricky customer on the winger for the Canaries.
The 19-year-old - a recent signing from Birmingham City - had already tested Milos Kocic once after a darting run, before the Serbian got a hand to his second effort and divert it onto the crossbar.
An entertaining first half ended 0-0 but Portland eventually took the lead in the 53rd minute through Jose Adolfo Valencia.
Daniel Ayala, Jacob Butterfield, Luciano Becchio and Josh Murphy all got a run out in the second half, but the Premier League outfit could not find an equaliser.
