Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has admitted that he is hoping to sign Nathan Redmond from Birmingham City this summer.
Redmond, who played under Hughton during his time as City boss, hugely impressed at the U21 European Championships for England last month and has attracted interest from a number of top-flight clubs.
Despite facing a battle with Everton and Swansea City for the player's signature, Hughton is confident that he can bring Redmond to Norwich.
"I worked with him at Birmingham. He has done very well and he is a very exciting young player," Hughton told Sky Sports News.
"But any progress that we make on any player, we will only notify you when any business has been done."
Birmingham boss Lee Clark previously confessed that the club have accepted two bids from Premier League sides for Redmond.
