Jermaine Jenas has admitted that it was good to "come home" after he joined Nottingham Forest on a one-month loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 29-year-old left the City Ground to join Newcastle United in 2002 but he has returned to his club after he played just 13 minutes for Tottenham this season.
Jenas told BBC Radio Nottingham: "There was only one club I was going to if I was going to the Championship.
"They are packed with good midfielders, but I still wanted to come home and play for the club that made me."
Jenas came on as a second-half substitute in Forest's 0-0 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.
