Orlando City are still waiting for their first MLS win on home soil after a Jozy Altidore brace gave Toronto FC victory at the Citrus Bowl.
The Canadians started well, with Jackson's sweetly-struck shot forcing a save out of Donovan Ricketts inside the opening 60 seconds.
City's first chance of note came soon after when Kevin Molino's effort was parried by Joe Bendik before the visitors' keeper saved Eric Avila's effort midway through the first half.
Toronto took the lead on 50 minutes when Sebastian Giovinco teed up Altidore for his third goal since joining from Sunderland.
Giovinco almost added a second with nine minutes remaining when the Italian attacker's shot was stopped by Ricketts and dribbled agonisingly wide of the left-hand post.
However, the visitors wrapped up victory within moments when Altidore was played through by Giovinco and the United States international managed to wrong-foot the Orlando keeper before slotting into the corner of the net.
The result pulls Toronto up to seventh in the Eastern Conference, while Orlando drop to sixth in the standings.
