AC Milan are on course to claim back-to-back wins in Serie A after taking a 1-0 half-time lead over Palermo this afternoon.
Mattia Destro had an early chance to give the visitors the lead, but after being picked out by Jeremy Menez, he saw his strike palmed away by Stefano Sorrentino.
Palermo then wasted a huge opportunity of their own midway through the half as Paulo Dybala squared the ball across the box for Franco Vazquez, who then placed his effort wide from just a few yards out.
Milan almost made their opponents pay for that miss soon after, but Destro could only turn Alessio Cerci's cross over the bar.
The visitors did manage to take the lead in the 37th minute when Ignazio Abate's low cross was spilled by Sorrentino and Cerci was on hand to touch the ball in from close range.
Moments later Edgar Barreto had the ball in the back of the net for Palermo, but he was adjudged to have been standing in an offside position and the visitors held on to the lead going into the break.
