Guimaraes vs. Portimonense (Sunday, 3.30pm)
Vitoria de Guimaraes and Portimonense will battle in the first round of fixtures of the Portuguese Primeira Liga season on Sunday.
After a strong first half of last season, Sunday's hosts eventually dropped to seventh spot, while their visitors prevailed in the battle for survival, finishing in 14th place in the Portuguese top flight.
We say: Vitoria de Guimaraes 2-0 Portimonense
While Vitoria de Guimaraes did not always live up to expectations last season, they still boast a stronger squad than Sunday's opponents, and should get over the line to start the season with three points.
Under the new management of Pepa, Os Vimaranenses could be a force if they start with confidence, and we give them the edge on Sunday.

Tondela vs. Santa Clara (Sunday, 3.30pm)
In the first round of fixtures of the new Portuguese Primeira Liga season, Pako Ayestaran's Tondela will play host to Santa Clara on Sunday.
The sides were only separated by 10 points last season, but given how tight the middle of the table was, Santa Clara finished sixth while their hosts ended in 12th spot.
We say: Tondela 1-2 Santa Clara
Despite battling fatigue, Santa Clara have already found their groove this season thanks to several continental victories, potentially setting them up in a much better way than their opponents, who lost their only game prior to the campaign.
Ramos has a deep squad at his disposal, and they should still have more than enough quality on the pitch to continue their positive run and start the league season with a win.

Porto vs. Belenenses (Sunday, 6.00pm)
Porto will begin their Primeira Liga title bid on Sunday, when they play host to Belenenses in the opening round of fixtures in the Portuguese top flight.
Sergio Conceicao's side fell short of the title last year, eventually finishing five points behind Sporting Lisbon, and they will be keen to regain the trophy this time around.
We say: Porto 1-0 Belenenses
Belenenses showed themselves to be one of the league's strongest defensive sides last season, and this will certainly not be a straightforward task for Porto.
However, we see them possessing enough attacking talent to just about get over the line, as they will likely dominate possession and should be able to wear down the resilient back line of the visitors.

Pacos de Ferreira vs. Famalicao (Sunday, 8.30pm)
Following last season's fifth-placed finish, Pacos de Ferreira will kick off their Primeira Liga campaign on Sunday with a home clash against Famalicao.
Os Castores head into this season without manager Pepa, who departed in the summer, and they will be keen to repeat last season's success under the new leadership of Jorge Simao.
We say: Pacos de Ferreira 2-1 Famalicao
While we are yet to see whether Pacos de Ferreira will be the same side without Pepa in charge, we still expect them to start the season with three points on Sunday.
Famalicao will threaten them with their array of attacking talent, but this strong Castores side should have enough to get over the line.
