Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie was cleared of tax evasion last year, it has now emerged.
Reporting restrictions surrounding the Harry Redknapp and Milan Mandaric case had prevented Storrie's innocence from being made public.
"It has been a complete waste of time and public money. It's been a farce," said Storrie.
"We've told them all for four years that it was a load of rubbish and we've been proved right."
Redknapp and Mandaric were both found not guilty of two counts of cheating the public revenue this morning.
