Portsmouth caretaker manager Guy Whittingham has vowed to keep fighting following his side's 2-0 defeat at Walsall on Friday night.
Pompey have now lost 10 and drawn three of their last 13 matches in League One - a run of form that sees them sit two points from safety in the table.
"Confidence is important in football and we're lacking it at the moment – you could see that at the back," Whittingham told the club's official website.
"We'll keep striving to turn things round. The magnificent support we get means that we have to keep fighting."
Portsmouth return to action next Saturday when they welcome 13th-placed Notts County to Fratton Park.
