Portsmouth manager Guy Whittingham believes that his side failed to build on recent performances as they lost 1-0 at home to Fleetwood Town in League Two.
Jamille Matt sped through on goal after 67 minutes, but after his shot was saved by John Sullivan, the ball deflected off defender Sonny Bradley and into the net, leading to Pompey's first defeat in four games.
Whittingham told The News: "They came and stopped us playing, and even when we got going, they did some professional stuff on the pitch which is part of the game, but we never really got going.
"I thought we started the second half with a reasonable tempo but dropped off again and then couldn't get it going again."
Portsmouth are currently 15th in the league table with nine points from eight matches.
