Charlton Athletic have beaten Portsmouth 2-1 in their final pre-season friendly match of the summer.
The Addicks opened the scoring on 19 minutes when Igor Vetokele took down a lay off from Marius George Tucudean before firing in from the edge of the area.
The lead did not last long, however, with Pompey hitting back in the 23rd minute through Danny Hollands, who nodded into an empty net after the visitors failed to deal with a cross into the box from a dead-ball situation.
Charlton were soon back in front, with Tucudean adding to his assist with a goal of his own, pinching the ball and dispatching it well with 25 minutes on the clock.
The hosts attempted a fightback but were held well and Charlton will go into the new Championship season on the back of victory.
