Former Fleetwood Town winger Gareth Evans has signed a one-year contract with Portsmouth.
The 27-year-old had been training at Fratton Park after leaving Fleetwood at the end of last season.
Evans scored 12 goals in 106 appearances during his time with the League One club.
"The aim is promotion - it's as simple as that," he told Pompey's official website. "It's an honour to be at this club, but I've come here for success and I'm confident we are capable of that."
Evans's former clubs include Crewe Alexandra, Macclesfield Town and Bradford City.
