Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he was "surprised" by the decision of referee Paolo Tagliavento to send off Zlatan Ibrahimovic this evening.
The Swedish striker was handed his marching orders for a challenge that he committed on Valencia's Andres Guardado in stoppage time during the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at the Mestalla.
However, Ancelotti has stated his belief that the tackle did not warrant a red card.
"It was a normal tackle and it was nothing special and I was surprised by the red card," he told Sky Sports News.
The match ended 2-1 in PSG's favour, with the return leg to be played in the French capital in early March.
