Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has admitted that he is wary of rushing back three returning members of his squad for Saturday's Trophee des Champions clash against Monaco.
After being given time off as a result of their World Cup exertions with Brazil, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Neymar are now back in training and in contention to feature at the Shenzhen Stadium in China.
Neymar has not played for PSG since fracturing his foot in February, while international teammates Silva and Marquinhos have had a month to recuperate following the conclusion of the Selecao's Russia 2018 campaign,
Speaking on the eve of the match in the Far East, Tuchel hinted that he will not risk any of his star men from the off in the curtain-raising fixture.
"I am already very happy that they are here, with the group," he told reporters. "It's very important. Thiago arrived first. I will not take any chances with them; it is my duty to take care of them. I must be very careful with them.
"I have an idea of what [team] I want to face Monaco, but I will not tell you. I will talk with the players. I have to take into account the training this afternoon, but also their journey, jet lag and also the quality of their sleep. They are able to play, but I do not know how long for."
PSG have won the French Super Cup in each of the last five seasons.
