Former Chelsea anchorman Claude Makelele has been linked with a temporary managerial role at Paris Saint-Germain.
Al Jazeera yesterday speculated that the club's new Qatari investors had dismissed current boss Antoine Kombouare, a rumour that is yet to materialise.
The Qatari news channel also suggested that former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez was being lined up as a long-term replacement for Kombouare.
Makelele, 38, who ended his career in the French capital earlier this year, has refused to comment on the reports but admits that he is very fond of the club.
"I can't comment on the speculation," he said.
"I am happy with what I am doing at the moment. I just want the club to do well and to be top of the table."
PSG currently sit second in Ligue 1, three points behind surprise leaders Montpellier.
