Paris Saint-Germain director Luis Campos has reportedly contacted Roma boss Jose Mourinho about the French club's managerial position.
Christophe Galtier is currently in the hot seat at the Parc des Princes after replacing Mauricio Pochettino last summer.
The 56-year-old, who won the Ligue 1 title with Lille in the 2020-21 season, is under pressure to turn around PSG's fortunes following a poor run of results.
PSG have lost five of their 11 games in all competitions in 2023, compared to four defeats across their 46 matches in 2022.
Their latest loss took place at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday as PSG were beaten 1-0 by Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
Kingsley Coman scored the winning goal against his boyhood club to condemn the Parisians to their third consecutive defeat, after previously losing to Marseille and Monaco in the Coupe de France and Ligue 1 respectively.
With Galtier's position coming under scrutiny, the French champions appear to have begun their search for potential replacements.
According to Foot Mercato, Campos has contacted Mourinho about the possibility of becoming PSG head coach.
Campos is believed to be a strong admirer of his fellow countryman, who is currently in his second season with Italian giants Roma.
During his first campaign with the Giallorossi, Mourinho guided the club to their first trophy in 14 years as they won the inaugural edition of the Europa Conference League.
Roma are battling for Champions League qualification in Serie A, and they currently occupy fourth position ahead of Sunday's home meeting with Hellas Verona.
They are at risk of being knocked out of the Europa League after losing 1-0 to an 88th-minute goal in the first leg of their playoff tie against Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday.
Mourinho, who has a contract with Roma until 2024, has won trophies in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain, but he has never managed a French side.
Galtier has reportedly been given until the start of March to instigate an upturn in results, and he will be hoping PSG's revival can begin with a victory in Sunday's league meeting with Lille.
