Paris Saint-Germain's unbeaten record in Ligue 1 this season has been ended in the 28th round of fixtures by Lyon.
Including last season, PSG had not lost in 36 league games, winning 32, but their run was finally halted tonight as Lyon won 2-1 at Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
Lyon took the lead in the 13th minute through Maxwel Cornet's firm strike before Sergi Darder doubled their advantage with a contender for goal of the season, looping the ball over a defender with his first touch before slotting home with the outside of his boot.
PSG, whose last loss in any competition was on November 3 to Real Madrid in the Champions League, quickly responded after half time through Lucas Moura's pinpoint left-footed strike, but the visitors could not find a leveller as Lyon held out for three valuable points.
Lyon, who have won four of their last five in the league, climb up to third with victory, while PSG stay 23 points clear at the top.
